Volyn Regional Children's Clinical Hospital is Accredited for Compliance
with the "Hospital Benevolent to a Child" Status

On April 1-2, 2008 a group of independent experts consisting of Drs. O. Shlemkevych and N. Savchak (Associate Professors, Physicians Advanced Training Department, D. Halytsky Lviv National Medical University) evaluated the Volyn Regional Children's Clinical Hospital to comply with the "Hospital Benevolent to a Child" status.

The experts acquainted with the hospital subdivisions, organization of III level medical help to Volyn children, and neonatal center activities. They emphasized the progress in implementing the contemporary principles of breast feeding (provided by the Program of Breast Feeding Support in Ukraine) into the practice of hospital departments caring for children under 1 year of age. The independent experts highly appreciated our efforts to teach the hospital personnel and gave their recommendations regarding improvement of existing methods.

All the accreditation materials including the recommendation to give the Volyn Regional Children's Clinical Hospital the status of the "Hospital Benevolent to a Child" were given to the monitoring center of the Ukrainian Children’s Specialized Hospital OKHMATDYT for taking the final decision.

It should be mentioned that our hospital is the third facility in Ukraine which is accredited for compliance with this high status.
