The Centralized Department of Clinical Microbiology conducts microbiological testing of clinical material to find agents of infectious diseases, tuberculosis, urogenital infections, parasitic fungi, pathogenic microorganism of clinical significance, and bacteriological research.

Diagnostics is performed by classical methods as well as with the help of contemporary Becton Dickinson computerized machinery.
